And, thank you... but I regard it me who is so lucky to have come to know you!

I remember when my Aunt was in the hospital. Her nurses were our heroes. I mean that. You recall, I asked what I could take them and Ron said "Brownies are an excellent choice". And why were they my heros? Because they were there and willing to do what I was not able to do for her. A simple thing of bringing her water, or less simple of hleping her to use the facilities in a dignified manner. I never knew their names, but I remember their faces with great fondness.
I can imagine this man's appreciation for you. Easily.

hugs;
randy.randyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16659230610436922709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8458786710697760224.post-4640737829503465412011-12-03T14:10:31.254-08:002011-12-03T14:10:31.254-08:00Hello Randy and Nikki. I love the saying Nikki to...Hello Randy and Nikki. I love the saying Nikki told us. I have a rule but I don't know how useful it is to anyone but me.

Helping others helps me, doing for others does for me, any small assist for someone is an assist for me, and even a small brightening of someones day is a large brightening of my day.

Is the above a rule, or a way of life? I am not sure. Some days they are separate activities, and some days one act is all of them together.

This week I had a husband come to me, he was a older gentlemen. He wanted to tell me how much it meant to HIM that I had made his wife feel a little better that day. I struggled to think of what I could have done. All I could think of is when everyone else was busy I dropped what I was doing and set up a bed side commode and helped her into it. I gave her all the supplies, excused my self and asked her to call me when she was done. I then cleaned everything up and helped her back to a recliner.

I did not think it a big accomplishment. Her nurse was busy and it is not a glamour job emptying a bucket of pooh.

But to them it was very important and I had forgotten that when you have to go and cant get to a toilet having a person willing to help with out any negative comment or feeling...well he came to my desk and he made me feel like a king. I thought nothing of what I did , but I sure got a big reward. I walked ten feet tall for a long time after, knowing I had made a difference.

I think I am very lucky. One of the things that makes me lucky is having gotten to know you.

Hugs. Everyone should have the freedom to live their life, to chase their dreams and be themselves - provided they aren't hurting others, of course. To deny a person his freedom to be himself is paramount to denying him life. There is no morality that can support that.
Thanks for such great additions to the blog.
randy.randyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16659230610436922709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8458786710697760224.post-24697680900837524522011-12-01T23:58:17.857-08:002011-12-01T23:58:17.857-08:00I still want to specify the source for the above:

"Jede...Hallo Randy,
Here an old German saying:
"Jeder soll nach seiner Façon selig werden" - "Everyone should be happy (blessed) in his own fashion"
The former German King Frederick II made the following statement:
"In my country everyone can be blessed in his own fashion".
It was the answer to a question whether the Roman Catholic schools should be abolished because of its inconvenience. He further stated that religions must be tolerated. But the state must take care that the religions tolerate each other too.
I think this old but true opinion applies less and less these days.
Nowadays everybody wants to have right and keep right!
NikkiAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
