I was recently sent this video link. I don't know quite how I feel about it.... is it accurate? Likely. Is it fair? I don't know - but if, and I stress IF it is accurate, perhaps being fair is unimportant. I'd rather know a truth that hurts a bit than be deceived.
I've often thought that what we suffer in leadership is a collective of thieves, liars, and opportunists who care too little for the country they work for and far too much for the power and prestige of their position and the riches they can garner from same.
Some have argued that we should be informed of all decisions, all information, all policy.... and in a perfect world that would be nice to have of our government. Instead, I'd be willing to submit a certain degree of trust to leaders of integrity and intelligence who hold the information deemed secret just that, and lead with wisdom, fairness, concern. Instead, what I hear all too often from those who ought to know better is a petty bickering, a pompous chest thumping, and a growing disdain for those who pay their wages - their true wages, not the graft and gratuity. Truly, what I want from my leaders, even if I don't agree with their direction and decisions, is leadership.
Well, having said that, here is the clip and link. Tell me what you think. I will warn that this is an edited clip of the original showing, and there is a bit of rough language.
