Miles asked "Who profits from prejudice? Who is behind the gay bashing, the abuse of our young people?" Isn't that a great question? I think there is a lesson to be learned from this above......
What do you think?
I have spoken to Miles and Scottie about this, and I know that there are others who feel the same....If you feel like you are being pushed beyond your limits, like life isn't worth living with the pain you feel right now, please remember that you are not alone. All of us have felt something similar to that and you are not alone! You are loved, needed, wanted, you are not alone. Write, let us know your pain and let us tell you...YOU ARE NOT ALONE! You, we! can get through anything, no matter how bad at the moment....life is beautiful, with moments of very ugly, scary, and weird veiws. No matter how bad, how embarassing, scary, or how much you feel like life isn't worth living.... it is only a rough spot on the road of this life and there are ways of getting through to the beautiful spots. Just hang on, reach out, and know...you are not alone! -randy.

Hello Randy. I wrote a big response and then lost it. I basically said I realized it is up to us to create the world we hope for. It is up to us to create a safe and free world for the youth.
I have seen the insides of people,and trust me, they are the same no matter your wealth, your skin color or your nationality. Disease and injury do not care at all about your language or sexual preference.
So I will not allow myself to be distracted by them either. I will treat each person as I hope to be treated. I will give the best I can, and hope to be better for it. I have cried with the humble and tried to soothe the most arrogant. Sadly I have seen both at the last part of their lives. Death also has no prejudges.
I do not know how to soothe the hurt feelings of the child on the play ground who has just been made fun of. Or to reassure the self worth of a person who has lost a promotion because of his sexual orientation. I do comment you and others who have reached out and asked people in trouble, in pain, hurting , to contact you. I will join you in that work.
hugs and love. I respect what you are doing so much. You are a grand soul.

Hi Scottie;
Isn't it amazing what little seperates the proud from the humble? Isn't it interesting that death and illness come for us all...no matter the "class" or "station in life".
I can't imagine the horror some have gone through, but I can relate in my own ways. I just want people who are hurting to hold on... one more little bit and the dawn breaks, the sky lightens, the darkness fades away. I sat looking at the end of my life once as well...I am alive now because I chose to wait just a little while longer. Everyday has promise.... love, hope, happiness - it's all there. I wouldn't have that if I'd given up, and I don't want others to give up either.
Have a great day, Scottie.
-randy.
