Would the truth be such a horrible thing?

Hello Friends;

  I was recently sent this video link.  I don't know quite how I feel about it.... is it accurate?  Likely.  Is it fair?  I don't know - but if, and I stress IF it is accurate, perhaps being fair is unimportant. I'd rather know a truth that hurts a bit than be deceived.
  I've often thought that what we suffer in leadership is a collective of thieves, liars, and opportunists who care too little for the country they work for and far too much for the power and prestige of their position and the riches they can garner from same.
  Some have argued that we should be informed of all decisions, all information, all policy.... and in a perfect world that would be nice to have of our government.  Instead, I'd be willing to submit a certain degree of trust to leaders of integrity and intelligence who hold the information deemed secret just that, and lead with wisdom, fairness, concern.  Instead, what I hear all too often from those who ought to know better is a petty bickering, a pompous chest thumping, and a growing disdain for those who pay their wages - their true wages, not the graft and gratuity.  Truly, what I want from my leaders, even if I don't agree with their direction and decisions, is leadership.
  Well, having said that, here is the clip and link.  Tell me what you think.  I will warn that this is an edited clip of the original showing, and there is a bit of rough language.

I suspect the numbers are close, perhaps changed a bit over time, but my reasonably informed opinion is that relatively, they're close.

Quite honestly, I love the rant. He's so right in so many ways. I think now we could add "we don't have politicians that care about the people, all the care about is the power they carry and how much money they will make when they retire", "no one is willing to compromise", I could carry on with my own rant. Thanks for a thought provoking post.

Peace <3

Hi Jay;
I thought this might catch your attention.
Wouldn't it be fantastic if a politician would just be blunt?

Be Well;

Oh yeah, no doubt. But doubtful that it will ever occur unless a lobbyist is behind it!

Oh, Now I know how to do this.... We need to get the Cattle Prod Lobby involved! Maybe the Pitch Fork Lobby, too!

Hello Randy. I have watched this a bunches of times, and even with the rough language I posted it. I believe in words like these. I understand them. Thanks for this post. Hugs
