still new to all of this...

Hello all in computer land... It has recently come to my somewhat foggy focus inhibited attention that I am not quite following protocol and offending some by not linking to other blogs and such. I hope you all know that if I want to offend, I will do it openly and without guile..... and having said that, I would never wish to cause offense to you. So, I first ask for your understanding. I'm new. If you would like to have a link or blogroll or whatever the right word is for this, please shoot me a note on the hushmail acct. listed above right. I will need to verify that it comes from the "owner" and that the content is not something that would get me nuked by association. No killing puppies, stuffing the heads of little old ladies in thier unmentionable drawer, that sort of thing. In seriousness, I won't be a part of anything hatefilled, etc. If you have read my blog, you know me enough by now.... Thank you all for coming and being a part of this little life, or words to that effect. -r

Hey Randy, I am not sure you are guilty of much violation. Some people simply don't like to have a bunch of links on their blog...they feel it clutters up their message. I have some links, but I use it more as a curtisy for my viewers, as I book mark ones I want to go back to. I have removed some that I found no longer were what my viewers wanted to go to. I do generally make a link for anyone who links to me, figuring that makes them a viewer and so that is the right thing for me to do.

I guess what I am trying to say is you should do what makes you comfortable. If you like a site and want to share it with others, then add a link to it. I guess that is what I do, I want to share with my viewers the wonderful things I have found, so I like to them.

I normally ask people before linking, most don't. I like to add a blurb about the blog and maybe share a bit about the owner.

Anyway, have fun and enjoy, I am glad you are blogging.

Thank you, Scottie;
I wasn't too worried about being out of protocol so much as I don't want people thinking I don't support what they are doing. I will have to rethink this about the "blogs I like" option....it does seem to save on concern over content.
Thanks again. -randy.
